Snyder's Drug Stores to Launch Flu Vaccination Program Starting September 30, 2009

The influenza vaccine is now available to the general public, and all are invited to obtain their vaccinations at a local Snyder's Drug Store. Pneumonia vaccines will also be available. Each year, as many as 65 million Americans fall victim to influenza and flu-related complications, such as pneumonia. This results in approximately 200,000 hospitalizations and 36,000 deaths. Everyone is encouraged to get vaccinated, especially those considered to be at higher risk.

Snyder's flu vaccination program is offered in cooperation with Maxim Health Systems.

Any participant with Medicare Part B coverage as their primary medical insurance will receive their shot with no co-pay. Some insurances are also accepted, in addition to cash or check.
